About Us

At Mewtritionist, we believe your cat deserves more than just a bowl of food. They deserve the right food. We’re a team of cat lovers, pet nutrition enthusiasts, and curious minds who got tired of sorting through conflicting advice, confusing labels, and one-size-fits-all feeding charts. So we built the resource we always wished existed.

Who We Are

We’re not vets or scientists with framed degrees on the wall, though we work closely with feline nutrition experts to make sure everything we share is grounded in real research. We’re cat owners just like you, people who’ve stayed up too late wondering whether grain-free is actually better or whether that expensive “senior formula” is worth the price tag. Our team brings together backgrounds in animal nutrition, veterinary health writing, and plain old cat obsession to give you information that’s honest, practical, and up to date.

Our Mission

Cats are notoriously tricky to feed well. They’re obligate carnivores with specific nutritional needs, strong opinions about texture, and a talent for refusing a food they loved last Tuesday. Our mission is to cut through the noise and help you make feeding decisions with real confidence, whether you’re choosing between wet and dry, trying to manage a health condition through diet, or just trying to figure out why your cat keeps leaving half the bowl.

We don’t push brands, and we don’t write puff pieces. If something works, we’ll tell you why. If it’s overhyped, we’ll tell you that too.

What You’ll Find Here

From ingredient deep-dives and life-stage feeding guides to reviews of the foods actually worth your money, everything on Mewtritionist is written with one question in mind: Will this help someone feed their cat better? We also tackle the harder stuff, managing kidney disease through diet, transitioning picky eaters, understanding AAFCO statements, and knowing when a change in appetite is worth a vet visit.

A Note from Us

We know your cat is family. And family deserves a little extra care when it comes to what’s on their plate. We’re glad you found us. Now let’s figure out what your cat actually needs.
